Mark Styler is a novelist who writes detective stories. His next project is about Easterman, one of the greatest serial killers in history. He comes to Fairfields Mental Hospital, where Easterman is hospitalized, to have a one-on-one meeting with him. But doctor Farquhar, who immediately makes himself noticed with his strange behavior and appearance, does his best to prevent him. While trying to get over the doctor, this time he trips over Plimpton, the hospital's paranoid-looking nurse. As he dives into the events, Styler will realize that the situation is not what it seems.
